What a sweet way to usher in the week. Lush enough to make you feel cushioned as you make your way into Monday, Wings is a jazz-inflected soul bit by Jamie Isaac, a cute British kid who’s just off a quick tour with Nick Hakim (apt) and whose last album was remixed by the likes of Rejjie Snow and Denzel Curry. Wings is his latest release, and I think it will be the last until his album drops in June. Study up now so you can be in the club when it’s out.
Wait, who?

Who?
Thanks to the good folks at Vulture for coining the v convenient term, ‘Wholebrity‘: a name you vaguely know from repeatedly encountering without context, but when you hear it, you go, ‘who?’ Typically relegated to social media stars and socialite children of older famous people, Whos like Bella Thorne and Zendaya exist in opposition to the Theys, like Jennifer Aniston and Drake. What a world.
Another new word: ‘Micromerch’
Micromerch, n.: A limited-run set of custom-printed paraphernalia, such as tee shirts, frisbees, coloring books, or (above) tissue boxes, often created by a person of some note (usually limited to ~25k instagram followers). As distinct from Alibaba and Shop Jeen (RIP) in barely-perceptible ways, it’s pretty much just those instagram followers that set ‘merch’ apart from ‘custom-printed tee’.
For increasing your Who status $
Just think of the instagrams: Bolt Collective is commissioning a small fleet of boats to sail through the Fjords of Norway this August, and you can go: Bolt is a group of cool people that go on sweet organized trips that are less expensive and more fun because of the group dynamic. Several Lorem people have already joined; you can learn more and join here.
Does it count as merch if it’s a photo of you from 2006 on a mug on your mom’s desk?
