Listen: Fishing for Fishies by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

The Media is divided on this album: NPR calls it notable, while the Pitchfork verdict is “downright boring.” Fishing for Fishies is the latest from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, an Australian band known for their wide-ranging skills and genre-straddling. And while this album may not be their best, the title track is refreshing, full of cheerful banjo, jaunty syncopation, and Postal-Servicey ambiance vocals. Sometimes you just have to have your own opinions, you know?

People who searched for this also bought…

PSA: Amazon is watching your search terms and making their own skin care line based on what you want. Which ostensibly is the magic of capitalism, but that spark kind of fizzles in a monopoly, doesn’t it? At least Amazon is still bad at branding: Belei (pronounced, “belay,” and for what?) features retinol, acids, peptides and other ~*ingredients*~ that people learned to love on reddit. And while there haven’t been any glowing lifestyle reviews so far, you can bet they’re racking up the sales thanks to their own SEO. If you’ve been wanting to bow out on the ‘zon, maybe this is your time.

Recommended for you based on your star sign

If search terms are too straightforward for you, how about astrology? Leaning extra hard into basic-Millennial-female, Amazon is now surfacing items based on your star sign through monthly shopping horoscopes in their Prime newsletter. In April, Virgos needed Prime Music to *chill* and Scorpios’ souls were nourished by Amazon Fresh. But that could all change in May– watch this space!

What to buy, then?

This Cards Against Humanity knockoff is the first item that appears on Amazon’s best-sellers page. Warning: This is The Drinking Game That Gets You and Your Friends Tipsy! (Perfect for the Sagittarian, who is “all fun and games” this month.)

If you were wondering who should try Belei this month, it’s Cancers.
