____: A Snoop Dogg Company

Listen: The Bible of Love by Snoop Dogg

Who knew Snoop Dogg was working on a gospel album? It’s here, it’s 32 songs long, and it’s good. The Bible Of Love features a million different voices and very little Snoop, and occasionally wraps hip hop influences around a gospel song, rather than the other way around (rappers with gospel choirs in the background, we see you). From the huge selection of tracks on this album, Pure Gold is a pure-gospel standout, Letter to the Free is a sharp message from Common, and You is fun and hip-hop-inflected. But there’s a lot of listening here; hit play and consider your morning covered.

Also did you know Snoop was investing?

Yup, Snoop & co just closed a $45mm fund to help Casa Verde Capital invest in all the best cannabis startups. Don’t worry, Wall Street people are making the actual investments, but Snoop sure is a great frontman. Current portfolioincludes ecomm operations, point of sale software, vaping hardware, a testing lab, and the LinkedIn of cannabis. Hit me.

Not a Snoop Dogg company

but still interesting: let’s send a welcome out west to Colorado’s first weed gym. Founded by a person with chronic pain from a connective tissue disorder, the gym ‘gifts’ marijuana alongside each workout to make movement possible for people who might otherwise struggle. The unfortunately named ‘Break The Stigma Fitness’ could use some help on branding— marketing materials feature a clearly able-bodied stoner with purple hair— but we can support the mission.

Also not a Snoop company, but branded just fine $

Puff puff pass,
